The Ascension of our Lord

Today we celebrate the historic act of Jesus going back to heaven. From the Gospel of Luke, chapter 24:

50 When he had led them out to the vicinity of Bethany, he lifted up his hands and blessed them. 51 While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up into heaven.

Praise be to the Father for sending His only Son to us, and for returning Him to heaven after His resurrection!
