A Blessed Reformation Day!

Lost among all the chaos of the secular world and Halloween, today marks the 508th birthday of the Reformation. Today we celebrate the memory of Saints like Martin Luther, Justus Jonas, Martin Chemnitz, Georg Spalatin, Joachim Westphal, Andreas Osiander, Johannes Brenz, Philipp Melanchthon, Thomas Cranmer, John Wycliffe, Jan Hus, and many more. These men stood up for what they believed in – the truth of scripture, that man is saved through Grace alone by Christ alone as revealed by Scripture alone. Many of them suffered for this truth, and some including Jan Hus died for it as martyrs. Praise the Lord for the simple truth of scripture. Repent, be baptized, believe in Christ and His works for you, and be saved!
